I got pulled over tonight going like 55 on the Bothell Everett Hy. Which I’ve gone faster on by far before. The cop was going the other way and I was heading to Marie’s whne the cop pulls a u-turn and pulls up behind me, though not turning on his lights untill he got near the 7-11. So naturally my heart was beating fast and I’m slight freaking out. BUT, after asking me questions like where was I going, and coming from, the cop said he’d let me off with a warning. And my brake light is out on one side so he could’ve totally given me a ticket for that. So I feel so blessed to have walked away from that without my third ticket!

Helium; Anyone’s Best Friend
After another test I have random information floating around in my head, not really needed anymore. Well I guess I do have a cumlative final at the end of the quarter, but since it’s optional I won’t worry about it right now. It was an interesting section though. Eyes, ears, muscles, heart, blood pressure and blood. This is prolly some stuff that I’m going to have know for the nursing program. And actually I feel pretty confident on most of the stuff that I had to learn. Cept it seemed on the test my teacher thrived in finding weird ways to word questions to make me doubt my self. Who knows. Second-guessing my self won’t help, so I guess I’ll put it out of my head till I find out how I did. Right now I have a B in the class but really want/mostly need an A. Searching for how to bring on the ‘A’ game.
Shai pulled me out of service tonight, at first I thought I was in trouble…knee-jerk reaction. But she just wanted to tell me that she was engaged. At first I was so shocked, my little sunshine getting married. Then she started going into how I was basically her first friend at the church, and even though her family’s moved a lot during her childhood and even into adulthood the church has remained constant from high school on. Sad part is that even though we do go to the same church we really don’t see each other that much. PLUS, when she gets married I guess she’s finding a different church; her and husband to be go to seperate churches and want to start fresh somewhere together. So I started crying a little, but still huge shock that she’s getting married.
And to top of the night, me and Breezie ended up with about 12 helium balloons and were sucking the helium and singing along to various songs in our high pitched voice that makes us sound like angry midgets sometimes. Haha, good times.

Snow in April is a Little Beyond Crazy
I was wearing flip flops when it started to snow. FLIP FLOPS! I think it was nice Thursday so I figured I could wear flip flops and get away with it, cause hey, it’s spring. But instead it decided to hail when I was walking back from class to my car. And then after I went over to Hannah’s house for a few hours, I had to walk in like an inch of snow…SERIOUSLY!? It was fun at Hannah’s though. She makes these wonderful baked sandwiches that I can never really duplicate at home because she uses this pesto stuff her dad makes up from scratch. And we play cards and talk smack, which is hilarious coming from Hannah. When it decided to snow harder though, I decided that warm drinks were in order. So I got some hot coco, which totally made the snow craze a little better.
Another highlight of the night was Brandon’s play. It was so hilarious. There was some issues getting there. Seeing as I’ve never had cause or reason to find SPU not only at night but while it’s snowing. I got Breezie to come along with me; more love and support for Brandon. I did pretty much laugh my way through most of it. It was called “You Can’t Take It With You” and basically focused around this quirky family, all their random issues and then trying to mesh with an upscale family. But there were togas, snakes, drunken actresses, russians with their accents, paranoia and of course Brandon as being just a kick in the pants when you saw him. I was really happy because I not only was able to go but stay for the whole thing, especially since I work Friday nights and the play ended around 9:45. My client for the night (or more aptly his wife) was very understanding that I wanted to support my brother and let me show up an hour late. Sweet!

Carmex to Save a Life
The client that I had today…oh my gosh. If I had to clean the place, I seriously don’t know where I would start. Or even if a bulldozer would actually help. Smell is supposed to be accomodating, so we theoretically become accostumed to what we’re smelling so we don’t notice it anymore. NOPE! Three hours into my shift and I was still smelling this putrid smell. So I took some carmex and put it on my upper lip under my nose. Thankfully that helped a lot and I was able to struggle through that experience. The great thing though…is that I have to go back tomorrow morning and survive through another shift.
Here’s two pictures of what two rooms look like. And trust me, so much worse in real life.

M*A*S*H and Cars
Just to be a dork! Though it has nothing to do with predicting my future with a wheel. I actually just discovered the show M*A*S*H while at one of my client’s house. I don’t know how many times I’ve passed the show on while flipping through channels, but I just thought it was an old show that I prolly wouldn’t like. I was wrong. I’ve seen like four or so episodes and I have laughed through all of them. And I guess it was on for like 12 years, so I guess other people agree that it was a pretty good show worth watching. My favorite character is the guy that cross dresses trying to get himself throw out of the Army…what it would have been like to have his wardrobe for 12 years. Earings, bras and everything.
Also, on my way home from work today I found out that my odometer can’t go higher than 199,991 miles. So now my car is ten years old with over 200,000 miles on it. SHEESH!! I’m really hoping it doesn’t break down because my life without a car would officially suck. There’s no bus that goes those back roads to my clients and at the random times that I have to be there. I guess I should start saving for the new car. I’m thinking that I want a mid-size car, like a Hyundai Santa Fe, though I think that they’ll probably be out of my prize range. But a girl can dream… HOWEVER: if I got a Toyota 4Runner, I would prolly laugh for about a year straight. Love Toyota’s especially how mine has held up under so much torture, wear and tear. But a 4Runner..and the VW bug… lol, that would be a kick.

Oui, je suis jalouse!
I find that jealousy doesn’t have to be all about marriage and the “other woman”. I can be jealous of someone’s brain….like in class, a couple people just comprehend stuff so much more easier than me. I’m also jealous of cats that can lay around all day but if they have access to the outside, they can go wherever they want. Like Sassy, Chance and Shadow found their way home in Homeward Bound…not saying I love the movie, but see! The animals could just go out on a walkabout, see the world have adventures. Almost get eaten by a bear or whatever, but they made it. Anywhoo, this is a music video that I discovered a while back. Not only do I love the french, but the sense of humor is quite funny. I would’ve picked the one without subtitles because just listening to french is soothing, but the story is so much more hilarious when you know what she’s saying. So watching and reading…*gasp* multi-tasking, oh my!

To Zorb Or Not To Zorb; That Is the Question
I’ve seen the commercial like fifty times while watching the show New Amsterdam on fox.com. Not only is the song catchy, but the idea of zorbing is crazy amazing. In my words, you get in a big ball and roll down a hill. But since SOME people don’t have an imagination, I’ll borrow from Wikipedia.
“Often the sphere is a double hulled sphere, with one ball inside the other with an air layer in between. This acts as a shock absorber for the rider, evening out bumps while traveling. It also allows for a much more light-weight sphere made of flexible plastic, as opposed to the rigid plastic of a hamster ball. “
Here’s the clip. I’m sad though that the song, Superman by R.E.M., was made as a cover for this song and isn’t sold. So I can only hum to my self and look forward to another adventure one day.

Dreaming of Gin
Not the alcohol however, just the game. I was playing like 20-30 hands of the cad game with my grandma and I found my self dreaming of it while I was riding home from the elevator. Smiley face for the airplane trip; uneventful if not a little bumpy. I mostly just played on my gameboy with Bryce and did some Sudoku puzzles. I brought my laptop in my backpack both ways, but didn’t open it on the airplane. Bryce is pretty happy with Mario even though I don’t think he’s learned the whole run and jump thing, but he’s getting there! Mostly I just wanted to keep him awake so I wouldn’t have to carry him throughout the airport if he fell asleep. Happy happy joyful joyful that I get to sleep in a bed, not even my bed, just A bed. Since my sleeping arrangements for the past week has been a couch that I couldn’t stretch on.
Side note, relating to a previous gross factor. My mom just poked up head in my room to tell me that since there was a cockroach running around at my grandma’s house, and since my clothes were on the floor that the cockroach could’ve laid eggs in my clothes so I should wash all of them in hot water…Well thanks for the heads up, I already took a shirt out from my suitcase to wear to bed because I had washed it at my grandmas..but it still mingled with other clothes. Now I’m going to be creeped out for the whole night. ICK!!! I just took a shower and now I feel like jumping in again. Yup, good to be home.

Jump…Float/Sink?
Today me, my mom and Bryce spent the afternoon up at the pool. It was such a beautiful day outside, even though the wind was blowing, the swimming pool was the place to be. Bryce trying to swim all by himself, me just floating around. My grandma got some videos of him swimming and hopefully they’ll upload, but later. I don’t think I got quite sunburnt, but as I told Jess, sunkissed. We also went out to this Italian resteraunt for dinner, with amazing food. The funny thing is that we got hungry early, and showed up a little before 5 only to find out that the place wasn’t open until 5. So we just sat in the car in the parking lot with my mom reading Boxcar Children books to my brother. “Where is the tin box? Violet asked” But the service and food was so yummy. I ended up getting shrimp scampi, but had bites of steak and potato, and cheesy garlic bread. We all walked out stuffed but extremely happy. I alsp got to kick my grandma’s butt in gin, truthfully the scores going back and forth as to who was in the lead, but I ended the night almost a hundred points ahead
But gross factor for th night, I was sitting at the computer trying to upload pictures from Disneyland and I felt something crawl across my foot and when I looked down I saw cockroach….EWW! Let me just say that I would never survive in a place that would be crawling with these little guys. I think I see myself living in Alaska, where it’s too cold for bugs to survive!!!

Beyond Therapy
Wow, today I was rear-ended when driving to get some dinner. And my reaction? To laugh my self silly!
So to start earlier in the afternoon, I decided to go see a movie with my friend Keri. At first I was going to choose a comedy like Penelope or 27 Dresses but the show times were off so I choose Vantage Point, a political thriller. It was really good; the movie showed a political assassination from like six separate point of views, rewinding the event every time it switched views. When you got to the like fifth view, you kinda want to just know what happened already. I started laughing at the end, but I just have a knack for laughing at places that aren’t really funny to everyone else.
Afterwards me and Keri were hungry so I told her to follow me to a chinese place that I knew of. However, while driving down one street Keri’s brakes gave out when she was around five car lengths away and she couldn’t stop when I halted at a light. One funny part was I was talking to my mom when she hit the back of my car and I started laughing, prolly confusing my mom when I tried to tell her what happened. Another laughing at weird times for me. Sad part was that Keri tried to turn her car onto the sidewalk to avoid the collision but ended up just hitting me with the side of her car that she was driving on, denting her door into her arm! The rest of the details are a bit fuzzy, but my car wasn’t really hurt…some parts may start falling off later, but it’s ok for now. Keri’s little VW bug is a little more dented.. like not really being able to close your door after you get out of the car…I’m guessing that that’s not too great.
The picture of her cute little bug was taken like a month ago, also when her hair was longer, lol. Her car being in one peice is probably why she’s happy in the last picture.
I still think it’s a hilarious situation, cause everyone keeps talking about MY crazy driving and I got hit! If this doesn’t scar her for life, I get to hold it over her head until I do something more idiotic! Haha.
