Get Your Bolly Move On

Filed under: Giggles Galore — croakingcricket @ 12:09 am

I was brave enough to try Indian food tonight.  My friend Melinda is vegetarian and so in some places there’s not a lot of choices for her.  So I told her to choose and when she picked Indian food, I sucked it in and said ok.  When it came to ordering though, I told her and her friend Vijay who is Indian, to just order food and I’d try it.  Some of the appetizers, not so great.  But I think what I ended up with was some version of chicken curry and I had rice and tortillas of sorts.  All around pretty good.

And of course Melinda randomly treated us to her dancing skills to the techno music in the place and sometimes just made up her own beat that had something like ‘spaghetti fingers’ and ‘the system’s down, the system’s down’ every once in a while.  Lol, all around a definite kick.  We also bonded over various movies and TV shows like Phineas & Pherb, which I watched cause she loved it so much.  Of course now I too agree that Phineas and Pherb are hilarious even if kids think it’s made for them.

I’ll Raise You a Nickel!

Tonight was a fun random night.  I invited Breezie over and we played poker with our spare change, ate ice cream and just genearlly goofed around.  It’s fun to just have a mellow night where I didn’t have to drive anywhere or pay for anything.  We really are amatur players though, it would prolly be so much more amusing and intense with other people.  However, we haven’t been able to find other people that either know how to play or would want to play with change.

I also had a very fun/intesting chat with a girl, Carmen, who I met through cadre recently.  We’d run into each other at church and at camp, and had added each other as friends on facebook.  For some reason we just ended up talking and the next think you know it’s like 2am and we were both so tired.  New friends are so fun.  Also a chat with Kyle/Clyde about stalking Breezie…he was in denial, and it took him way to look to answer a simple question.  Should I be worried?!

Cartwheels in the Rain + Red Lobster Biscuits= Bomb

This day started way too early with too little sleep.  The parental units were gone for most of the weekend, so after getting down with the long babysitting job Saturday I came home to an empty house.  Brandon had gone to a friends house and Bryce attempting his first sleepover at the Jensen’s.  I invited Breezie, Keri and Jess to come over, watch movies and just hang out.  Breezie came over first bringing the first Bourne movie, along with chocolate chocolate ice cream and dr. pepper.  Keri came over after the first movie and brought the last two.  Breezie, as usual fell asleep during the second movie, so what does a good friend do to a sleeping one.  Doodle on the sleeper, lol.  Keri helped with smiley faces on her toes and I drew a cross on her forehead, :)   After Breezie went home, me and Keri started the last movie but ended up talking through most of it, catching up on life and frankly just rambling.  And this, being around 1am, me having no sleep since Thursday night.  We ended up talking till 5 in the morning after I broke out some old boxes of stuff including yearbooks and old notes.  SO many memories there.  We decided that sleep was needed, at least a little so fell asleep quickly.  But since Bryce was doing a sleepover, I needed to pick him up from church so there was no sleeping in possibility.

After lunch, which was a random mix of all the stuff that sounded good, I kidnapped Jessica along with Keri and Marie and we went to the church get together in the rain.  Which ended up being so hilarious.  We danced, sang and did cartwheels in the rain.  I got a little cotton candy and we wandered talking to different people and hugging our umbrellas.  In leaving I opened a bag of worms in what four people, turning into five, would all want to do.  Jess had found this french movie that was all singing and brought it along so we all ended up back at my house, Jeanne joining up to make it five, and we watched a movie about two people falling in love, promising eternal love with the addition of a child…but separated by war and issues.  I personally didn’t like the ending, where they ran into each other one day and after like five minutes of talking went on their own separate ways.  To me, lame, if it was love forever…IT SHOULD’VE LASTED FOREVER!!  Then the best part of the night was when the four of us (Jeanne leaving for home) went to Red Lobster to share random foods and the best biscuits ever.  The lack of sleep came out in Keri when she tried to stab Marie with her fork, but other than that, it was all kicks and giggles.

Misty Ocean Shores

For a birthday getaway for Breezie, since she doesn’t like to have parties, I decided that kidnapping her to Ocean Shores would be fun, though it grew from like me and her, to me, her and five other people.  But it was rad, even though it was foggy and cold down there. We still found our own little adventures.  And my favorite part was that I got to fly my kite, or any kite whatsoever, for the first time :)   The ride down there was prolly the most eventful with a few random cars trying to race us, one getting pulled over by the police a few miles ahead of us and the other gave up and went to a bar.  We built sand castles, buried gnomes, and had sand fights.  Definitely worth the commute for the fun factor and walking barefoot on the beach.

Taste From Camp

I took so many photos it was ridiculous. But there was so much going on that it was worth it.  And I love having a rechargeable battery for my camera, versus my other camera that took AA and sucked them dry so fast.  Here’s a few photos, I’ll add more and maybe some stories of favorite things, after I’ve gotten sleep sleep sweet sleep.

Bouncy-bouncy

Filed under: Giggles Galore, Love affair with Life — croakingcricket @ 7:37 pm

I got a text from Keri when I was in class asking if I wanted to meet up with her at the gym that we both belong to. But by the time she got out of class and in the mall area, both of us felt the urge for jamba juice instead (a pretty constant craving recently). I ended up dragging her along with me to Michaels to get a tri-fold board for physiology for my display project. We wandered the aisles for some sort of inspiration to make my board more spiffy-ly wonderful. Me and Keri being the loud and crazy people we are ended up arguing about college degrees and how that doesn’t necessarily make you intelligent even with all the knowledge. And some lady in another aisle piped up that she agreed too since we were yelling across the store, being dorks as usual. Then we just chilled out in the mall parking lot talking about random stuff when one of Keri’s friends pulled into a parking space in her yellow bug. After exclamations and greetings of her group with my group they left and left us; then to shop us to decorate the little yellow bug with some of my window markers! After GC some of ‘us’ hit red robin, which seems to be THE place lately. Red Robin with Keri, Breezie and Kendra- hilarious time in yet another parking lot with Breezie coming out of her “shell” to surprise Keri. Kidnapping of purses, ipods and my bouncy ball had Keri chasing Breezie through the parking lot. And we finished it off with laughing along with helium in the back of Breezie’s truck.

A Sigh With Relief

Filed under: edg-ama-cated, Giggles Galore — croakingcricket @ 9:49 pm

My goodness, I finally hit a bright spot in my physiology class! On my last two labs I got 19.5 out of 20 and I got 94/110 on my last test that I was studying for every waking minute. It was one of those times when if everything kept going crappy then I would’ve felt like just sticking out my tongue all through class and glazing over. So yay good news!

Today was also fun, after church a bunch of the kids from the youth group all went out to red robin. The initial reservation was for like 40 but around 53 ended up showing up to take over the dirty bird. I got to meet new people and be my wacky self. Let’s see, I met a Jean, Crystal, Shelly and Candice today. Found out that Shelly goes to Everett CC with me and Shelly is doing pre-reqs for the nursing program at Skagit. I used my voice way too much to try to communicate in the loud place, my throat’s been hurting lately and now I seem to have a cough that I can’t get rid of. Since I JUST learned about respiratory in class, I think I might have something to do with bronchitis, but I think I’ll be in denial for a while…

STILL HAPPY ABOUT MY TEST SCORE!!!

I Fought the Waves and WON!

Filed under: Giggles Galore, Love affair with Life, ~CLICK~ — croakingcricket @ 11:21 pm

One stupid thing we did this weekend was not to wear life jackets when we went out on the water…with the water that cold we should have definately wore life vests…hmmm… But I decided to bring my camera out with me when I was in the kayak. Marie and Hannah took the canoe, me in the kayak and Breezie went on a solo bike ride to…wherever. I managed to get some pretty pictures from the middle of the lake AND I didn’t tip over even with the constant waves from people and their boats driving by all the time. We decided to paddle over to where the rope swing was, kiddie corner to us on the lake. Hannah mentioned that she may try the rope swing again, but declined when she got out of the canoe and tripped over some of the sharp rocks. Marie wanted to try the kayak back to that left me and Hannah in the canoe. We actually mangaged to beat Marie back because I think her arms were tired and she ended up drifting in the middle of the lake for a while. THEN, when me and Hannah were close to the shore by our cabin I threw my camera up on the dock and purposefully tipped the canoe with me and Hannah in it. I figured it wouldn’t have been that big of a deal because we were in water that was like 3 feet deep, we were both in our swimsuits and we didn’t have anything that would die if water touched it on us. But Hannah still wasn’t happy about my tip-a-canoe move and she stormed off….

Oh yeah, and in the morning me and Marie threw Breezie into the lake…don’t have any picture from that because my hands were kinda full…

WERE THERE ANY CASUALTIES!?
